Designing a frictionless digital banking experience at scale
A scalable UX system for modern fintech platforms
Revolut needed a more intuitive and high-performing digital product experience capable of supporting rapid growth, daily usage, and increasing user expectations. The challenge was not only to improve usability, but to create a scalable UX structure that could evolve with the product.
Our work focused on redesigning core user journeys across mobile and web, simplifying navigation, improving interface clarity, and reducing friction in high-impact areas such as onboarding, account management, payments, and recurring user actions.
The result was a faster, more intuitive, and more conversion-oriented digital banking experience designed to improve activation, retention, and overall user confidence.
Transforming complexity into a seamless user experience
01. High onboarding friction
Users faced too many steps and decision points during the first interaction, creating cognitive overload and reducing activation quality.
02. Lack of interface hierarchy
Key actions and financial features were not always clearly prioritized, leading to slower navigation and less confident task completion.
03. Inconsistent design system
The absence of a unified interface structure made it harder to scale product experiences consistently across mobile and web.
A user-centered redesign built for performance and clarity
User journey optimization
We mapped and restructured critical user flows, removing friction points and simplifying decision-making throughout the experience.
Interface simplification
We refined layouts, improved visual hierarchy, and reduced unnecessary interface elements to create a cleaner and faster product experience.
Conversion-focused design
We redesigned high-impact areas such as onboarding, navigation, payments, and account management to improve user activation and retention.
Every design decision was guided by usability principles, behavioral patterns, and the need to create a seamless and trustworthy fintech experience.
